Lith and Silvia are distantly related.   Silvia is a Darkling Empire Princess while  Lith is a Darkling Duke.

Jane is Silvia’s personal guard.  Since they are the same age, she was assigned this role since they were infants.  Jane takes her bodyguard role very seriously.

Lith and Jane don’t get along very well.
