Chirpy’s design is so obviously ripped off from the Breath of Fire series.  Her base is Nina from BoFII with the reading glasses from Momo of BoFIII.  I made her body frame a lot thinner because bird people are supposed to be light.  I drew her design way back in 2005.

Her reading glasses aren’t really just for show, it’s a reference to birds of prey being far-sighted, locking in on small prey from the skies.  She can see things from further away but has trouble reading text in her hands.

Chirpy was also one the old designs that I had to pull out to fill up Rosemary and Thyme’s Legacy Classroom.  She originally wasn’t supposed to be important, but I found too fun drawing her in the background.
